WHAT WE DO
The Heroes Project's new Veteran Retreat Center (VRC) in Mt. Baldy, CA, offers war veterans the chance to connect with others who have faced similar experiences and challenges, creating a supportive community. Our goal is to empower wounded veterans to achieve their personal goals and lead healthy, fulfilling lives by providing a safe and welcoming environment. Whether through physical activity, outdoor recreation, or simply spending time in nature, the VRC is dedicated to helping veterans find the inspiration and support they need to thrive.
The VRC will serve as a home base for our veterans to meet and gear up for their mountain experiences. Climbing a mountain, both literally and figuratively, requires preparation, determination, and a willingness to work towards a goal. Our new mountain retreat center is designed to disconnect from life's everyday stresses. With no cell phone service, Wi-Fi, city lights, traffic, or urban stressors, the mind and body are prepped for true physical, mental, and emotional recovery, allowing our veterans to reconnect with the Marine/Soldier within.
This will be the only veteran retreat in California, serving as the vehicle for our "Expedition for Heroes Program." Previously available only to veterans in Southern California, this program can now extend its reach nationwide with your help.
THP is committed to providing our nation’s veterans with the tools and resources necessary for their success. By pushing them to their limits and helping them conquer challenges, The Heroes Project aims to transform the impossible into reality. We provide physical and mental training to injured U.S. military veterans, empowering them to unlock their fullest potential within themselves and the world around them.
